At the first boat show of the season, L’officina del mare presents the new outboard model from the successful NY40 motor yacht series.
Fano (PU), July 20, 2024. Elegant, high-performance, and customizable, with a particular focus on sustainability, in true Nerea style. The flagship NY40 Veloce will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 10 to 15, 2024. After its successful debut this winter at Boot Dusseldorf, Dario Messina' s latest creation is ready to win over owners and enthusiasts who will be attending the French event that kicks off the new boating season.
NY40 Veloce once again highlights the central importance of owner comfort in Nerea Yacht's designs. This all-round comfort is also reflected in the latest creation from the Marche-based shipyard, which features technical solutions aimed at improving performance and style to satisfy the most refined tastes. But that's not all. Thanks to the use of Ecopur, NY40 Veloce was soon defined by industry experts as the boat "that breathes."
Ecopur is a natural, technological, and eco-sustainable resin that purifies the air. This technology was developed by Oltremateria and was awarded the 1st National Prize for Innovation 2023 by the Quirinale in the Industry and Services Italian Design category. Nerea Yacht studied its applicability for the first time in the nautical sector and used it for the interior finishes of the new NY40 Veloce. In this way, Ecopur acts as an air purification system by reducing viral and bacterial loads, improving and refreshing the quality of environments and surfaces without consuming energy and avoiding the use of solvents. A real "lung" that allows the boat to "breathe" and guarantees eco-sustainable life on board in safe environments. A solution that confirms Dario Messina, founder of Nerea Yacht, as one of the most eclectic and innovative players in the nautical sector in recent years.
Specifically,the sporty and dynamic spirit of the NY40 Outboard finds its maximum expression in its exterior lines and navigation, thanks to the V-shaped hull designed by Zuccheri Yacht Design and the three Mercury V10 400hp AMS DS XL engines that allow it to reach an exciting speed of 48 knots. On the deck, customized with a distinctive herringbone teak pattern, the eye is immediately drawn to the large aft sundeck, covered with a woven, seamless, highly resistant, and sustainable fabric made from recycled plastic.
The dark gray matte paintwork of the hull, which identifies this new model "Μάγνης Grey" (from the Greek word for magnet), is combined with bronze-colored wrapping stripes, adding a touch of sophistication to the engine cowling, the outer window frames, and the waterline. On the outside, the yacht features important customized elements such as the leather-covered helm station and the Power Wings located behind the helm, which offer complete control of the boat, from home automation to command functions, including Car Lights, which lend an automotive-inspired charm. For the first time, the kitchen cabinet doors are covered in teak, while the raised windscreen offers greater wind protection when sailing. Another special feature is the Besenzoni multifunction gangway ladder, which allows easy access from the dock to the sea.
Moving on to the interior, below deck the Bow Cabin a spacious dinette, a movable table in the center that can be lowered to become a storage base for additional cushions, transforming the area into a sleeping area, and two storage units, one of which is equipped with a 50" TV. The AFT cabin, on the other hand, has two spacious and comfortable single beds, carpeted floors, and a bathroom. All interiors, from the steps leading to the cabins to the walls, curtain holders, coffee table, and bathroom, are covered in Ecomalta, to which Ecopur resin is applied. Nerea Yacht is once again at the forefront of innovation, setting new standards for eco-sustainable yachting experiences.
The colors of the fabrics and upholstery, both inside and outside, are warm shades ranging from sand to caramel, bronze to hazelnut. The overall length of 12.29 meters and beam of 4 meters give the NY40 great livability and allow it to accommodate 10 to 12 people. Nerea Yacht continues its history of determination, expertise, and creativity by offering the market a model in line with the family feeling, representing a new generation of boats where aesthetic and functional harmony become the perfect combination.
